This instruction file is published in a community aggregate and describes a staged approach to creating an actual spreadsheet. The useful distinction is between a workbook that opens and one whose cell types, calculations and meaning match the brief. It encourages explicit structure before decoration; it should be adapted to the installed local library and the receiving office application.
Small registers, delivery trackers and synthetic data examples where a developer can inspect both the source records and the generated workbook. It is not an endorsement of every skill in the aggregate or proof of compatibility with every agent.
Formula text is different from a value recalculated by Excel or LibreOffice. Missing data must remain distinct from zero. External links, embedded content and dependency setup need separate inspection. Define column types, duplicate rules and an acceptance total before generating cells. Preserve original records, write a new workbook, set useful widths and filters, and reopen it to inspect formulas and types. Reconcile the result independently and use native recalculation when downstream work depends on cached formula values.
