Unblob extracts recognized file formats from firmware and other composite files. Choose it when you need a bounded map of nested components before inspecting code or configuration. Keep the original image and the extracted file lineage. Extraction identifies candidates for review; it does not establish device behavior, firmware authenticity or the safety of executing any recovered file.
Use it for layers
Track each extracted member back to its parent offset and format. Compare recognized parts with another view when the image is unusual or damaged.
Limits
An unknown region may remain unparsed, and a recognized signature can be misleading. Treat extracted scripts, binaries and configuration as untrusted data until separately reviewed.
