MobSF brings static and dynamic workflows together for mobile application security assessment. It is useful for a broad authorized review that needs an inventory before narrower manual questions. Separate observations the framework extracted from its risk interpretations. Dynamic components need a correctly configured device or emulator, and automated findings should be checked against the app build and evidence.
Start with a scoped assessment
Record the package hash and assessment environment, then group findings by manifest, code, resources and runtime observation. Prioritize a small set of claims for manual verification rather than treating every finding as equal.
Limits
Automated labels may be conservative or context dependent. A static report cannot prove runtime exploitability; a dynamic test covers a configured scenario and account only.
