JADX opens Android DEX and APK code in a navigable Java-like view. It is useful when a question concerns classes, methods, calls or references rather than only resources. Start with the exact APK build and trace one method from an observable action. Decompiled output can be distorted by obfuscation and compiler transformations, so verify important branches against bytecode or behavior.
Choose it for code
Use the class and method inventory to narrow a question. Link an Android component declaration to a candidate implementation, then compare the code view with relevant resources and native libraries when present.
Limits
JADX does not certify original developer source or runtime state. A method's presence does not show that it executed in your scenario. Apktool has a different emphasis on decoded resources and packaging.
