FLARE-VM is a Windows analysis environment that brings together tools used for defensive reverse engineering and malware work. Choose it when a disposable Windows workspace is needed for multiple investigation steps. Record installed tool versions and isolate specimens. The environment's presence does not make every bundled tool safe, current or suitable for a particular target.
Prepare the workspace
Use an isolated virtual machine snapshot, document its configuration and keep samples outside ordinary personal folders. Plan the static and dynamic steps before enabling network access.
Limits
A tool bundle is a starting environment, not a finding. Individual tools have their own licenses and update schedules, and a malware sample must not be executed just because the environment is intended for analysis.
