It fits a question about what changed between two known versions when both inputs and their analysis projects are available. Matching scores are leads, not proof of semantic equivalence. Inspect candidate changes and confirm important differences against instructions, symbols and observed behavior.
Prepare a fair comparison
Record both file hashes, architectures and build context. Analyze each file with compatible settings before comparing function maps, then review the highest-value changed regions manually.
Limits
Compiler changes, obfuscation and inlining can change structure without changing the behavior you care about. A matched function can still contain a meaningful edit; an unmatched one may simply be transformed.
