REA setup starts with the target and the agent or CLI interface you intend to use. Confirm the current Node runtime requirement, install the official package, run its setup checks and inspect the reported tool list. A successful installation does not prove that a native provider, Android engine or browser capture path is ready for your investigation.
Check the environment
Read the official installation guide for current runtime and host instructions. Record the installed REA version and executable path. Native pseudocode needs a configured analysis provider; APK method work may need a full JDK and headless JADX. These are task-specific prerequisites.
Confirm one operation
Use an authorized small sample and a read-only question. Inspect the actual CLI or connected MCP tools and compare one result with the source artifact. A capability on the development branch may not exist in the package installed locally.
