Static and Passive Electron Analysis with REA

REA separates static Electron artifact analysis from passive observation of an existing file-page renderer and from active owned scenarios. Choose the least invasive path that answers the question. A passive CDP attachment can inventory local frames, scripts and resources without evaluating renderer code, while an active scenario launches and interacts with a selected application under a different risk boundary.

Choose static, passive or active

Use static analysis for an ASAR or extracted directory when execution is unnecessary. Use passive observation for an already-running local Electron page. Reserve active scenario capture for an authorized target when clicks, reloads or lifecycle events are required, because that path launches and interacts with the application.

Keep evidence types separate

A static graph describes shipped artifacts; a passive capture describes one running target during one window. Reconcile them only after preserving both records and their limitations. Do not infer complete runtime coverage from a readable bundle or one observed renderer session.
